In 2005 AC Milan's Youth Academy established their world famous football school in Sweden. The form that exists in Sweden is purely a training camp with a high level of training content. The training week is divided into five main elements that constitute each training day theme. With an increasing difficulty during each training day, the five basic elements is practiced with the help of various exercises from the Academies custom-designed concept.

During the years 2005 - 2012, more than 4,000 young people participated in these camps in the places where the camp have been held. Cities that have arisen are Västerås, Umeå, Växjö, Stockholm and Malmö.

All youngsters between 8 – 16 that wish to participate are welcome. AC Milan underlines that the camp is open to all who wish to attend given that the camp are not fully booked. Five-hour football practice every day and the high level of all participants gives, however, that the camp is best suited for the young people who are well advanced in their age category and, responsive and disciplined in training operations. In each location, the number of participants will be somewhere between 150 - 250. Participants are divided by age and ability into different groups and adjustments might be needed along the week.

Under the guidance of Italian coach, appointed and handpicked by AC Milan's youth organization, the daily training sessions are managed. Each group of youngsters, containing around 20-30 kids, have their own coach throughout the week. All trainers have years of training experience and meets all FIGC's requirements for youth coaches and have themselves often experience as a former professional players. FIGC means Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio and is the Italian Football Federation.

Swedish assistant coaches supports the Italian coaches with the work in each group. The Swedish coaches comes from different clubs in the vicinity of the camp sites. The Swedish assistants have also undergone special training in Milan's football philosophy.

Every kid taking part in the MJC Malmo will receive an official AC Milan ADIDAS KIT and one diploma signed by Massimo Ambrosini and Adriano Galliani

Milan Junior Camp Day
Two players in each location of Sweden will be selected by the coaches and given the chance to go to Italy for a trial with the kids selected in Milan Junior Camps all over the world. The selection and hence the ability to go off to Italy for this event is under the control of the Italian coaches and will be announced after each camp week.

Those who are chosen for this unique event will be assisted with local transportation and accomodationin order to be able to participate in the event. One parent per child will also be invited to participate. A small fee covering some local costs will be charged for each invited, approx 100 Euro.
